History

This home was probably built somewhere around the year 1902. Its first known owners, the Aikens, were living there at the time of their daughters' birth in 1909 (where it's also shown on the map), but after their marriage in 1907. A photograph from 1910 digitized by Keith Lockhart confirms its current structure was present at the time of its construction. It was definitely built after 1897, as it was part of Mary Alberton's property, and there was no house on the left side of the property according to Mueller's 1897 Atlas.
